Two local properties named among “Best New Hotels in the World” by Travel + Leisure

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- Two Charleston hotels have been named among the ideal new hotels in the entire world by Vacation + Leisure journal.

Travel + Leisure released its once-a-year “It List of Greatest New Hotels” on Tuesday, which acknowledges the most unforgettable new and reimagined properties, in accordance to the magazine. This year’s list featured 100 attributes from 35 nations around the world throughout the world.

The Loutrel, a boutique lodge in downtown Charleston, has acquired a spot on the checklist just a couple months after it opened in November 2021.

“Boutique motels are a dime a dozen in the Holy City, but the Loutrel, a 50-place home found in the heart of Charleston’s historic district, captures the intimacy and convenience of a Southern home in a contemporary location,” the magazine examine.

The reimagined Write-up Residence in Mt. Pleasant’s Aged Village also landed on this year’s list. In 2020, the longstanding neighborhood inn was reopened immediately after going through an intensive renovation

The magazine highlighted the Put up House’s “refined, homey aura” and the very first-ground cafe that “will tempt you to cancel the future evening’s downtown reservation.”
